IHBB has run tournaments in Europe since the 2011-2012 school year. So far, tournaments have been held in France, England, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, and Sweden. Tournaments will debut in Poland and likely 3-4 other new countries for the 2015-16 school year as well. Students and teams who finish in the top half in either the middle school, junior varsity, or varsity divisions at each tournament will qualify for our fourth annual European Championships, which will be held in Spring 2016. At the European Championships, students also have the opportunity to compete in two side events: the Geography Bee of Europe and the Sports & Entertainment History Bee of Europe; the latter of which features an Open Division for parents, teachers, and coaches as well.
